What is my mathematics placement?

You are placed into a category depending on your score the Math Placement Tests, AP Calculus Exam scores, and your accepted major.
The category then determines what math class you are eligible to take. See the below chart.

Placement	Suggested Math Course
Category 1	Math 0012: review your basic math and algebra skills; institutional credit only
Category 2	Any math course up to Math 1205 excluding Math 1015: our core courses; all non-science and business students take a course in this category
Category 3	Any math course up to Math 1205 including Math1015:   Science students preparing for Calculus take Math 1015: Precalculus
Category 4	Any math course up to Math 1501 excluding Math 1411: Science students or students interested in Calculus
