What if I am placed into a level of math I think is lower than where I want to be?
While you may have had a more advanced math in High School, this does not mean that your foundation is a solid as it needs to be for the college level math class. We have found that our placement policy places students in the appropriate mathematics class. If you would like to have your placement reassessed, please email Dr. Sethi, Coordinator for Math Placement at mathplacement@shu.edu and include the grades for your high school mathematics classes and if you took AP Calculus.
If you have been placed into Developmental Mathematics, we will be offer a program online supervised by Dr. Sethi, Director of Developmental Mathematics. You will need to have access to a computer and the internet. If you are interested in taking this option, please email us at mathplacement@shu.edu.
